ABOUT JENNIFER

Jennifer Dawson is a registered Psychologist practising in Briar Hill, Melbourne. She offers therapeutic support for individuals as well as facilitating the ELBOWROOM programs. 


Jennifer has worked across a range of government agencies as well as in the non-profit sector within family violence, mental health, disability, immigrant multicultural communities, and homelessness.


Her experience as a Psychologist includes working in schools, children’s services, family violence, training, consulting and supervising clinicians in individual and team settings, developing therapeutic group programs and resources, managing counselling programs and providing individual counselling. 


FOCUS


Jennifer’s particular areas of expertise and interest is in supporting adults and adolescents who are facing issues such as:

Jennifer is also trained in approaches useful in resolving longstanding significant and complex trauma:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing)

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
